Lattimore (knee), who has not experienced any setbacks in the course of his offseason workouts, is slated to be present for the opening of the 49ers' offseason program on Monday, reports.

Analysis: Lattimore, who finished the 2013 season on the team's non-football injury list, is in line to be a full participant in all of the 49ers' upcoming conditioning and football activities. With Anthony Dixon having signed with the Bills and LaMichael James a candidate to be moved by the team, Lattimore -- assuming his health -- figures to have a chance to make a splash with the 49ers in 2014, working in tandem with veteran Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter.

The lawsuit associated with Melton's December arrest for assault has been dropped, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Analysis: The assault charge itself is only a misdemeanor, but given that the bar owner is no longer pursuing a civil suit, there's a good chance the criminal charge will go away as well. This shouldn't be an issue for Melton as he begins his tenure with the Cowboys.

Gibson (knee), who has been doing light jogging as he recovers from a torn patella tendon, said that he will definitely be ready to play by Week 1, the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero reports.

Analysis: Having suffered the injury in October, Gibson will likely be ready by Week 1, but he still shouldn't be taken at his word. It sounds as if he still has a ways to go in the recovery process, and Week 1 is less than five months away. Health permitting, Gibson figures to serve as Miami's No. 3 receiver, a role he took kindly to before the injury last season.

Lloyd's one-year, $1.005 million contract with the 49ers does not include any guaranteed money, reports.

Analysis: Lloyd figures to compete for the No. 3 wideout role behind presumed starters Michael Crabtree and Anquan Boldin, but as the entirely non-guaranteed deal indicates, the 32-year-old is no lock to make the final roster. Quinton Patton appears to be Lloyd's top competition for that No. 3 role.

    • The Raiders are expected to release...

The Raiders are expected to release Pryor if they are unable to trade him by Monday, FOX Sports' Alex Marvez reports.

Analysis: There's likely a fair amount of interest in Pryor as a project and novelty athletic quarterback, but the fact that he's not perceived as a potential starter means the Raiders might have trouble getting anything in a trade, especially since everyone knows they'll cut Pryor otherwise. If the Raiders don't select a quarterback high in the draft, they'll likely head into 2014 with Matt Schaub and Matt McGloin as their top two passers.
